wePLAYmusic is a community of music educators and facilitators, music-makers of all ages, game designers, and researchers who share the common goal of getting back to the essence of playing music. wePLAYmusic is organized by the Université des jeux(nes) musiciens (UJM), a living laboratory focused on learning music through play, housed at the Faculty of Music of Laval University (Quebec, Canada).
This community brings together music educators and facilitators, music-makers of all ages, game designers and researchers. Our community allows you to share and exchange on a host of topics geared towards learning music through play and using games. Music educators and facilitators can find and share educational resources related to learning through play and games, and can learn to build original educational musical games to meet their educational needs in the company of game designers, researchers or music-makers. Music-makers can share their musical experiences, and offer new ways to learn music. They will also inspire the work of music educators and facilitators, game designers and researchers with their original ideas. Researchers and game designers offer workshops to inspire the work of practitioners.
This network also allows you to form interest groups of members who live near you or who are located elsewhere in the world, in order to work collaboratively on projects related to learning music through play.
